The Gardner Edgerton High School Athletic Hall of Fame is a tribute to outstanding athletes who through their athletic achievements have brought honor to themselves, school, and community. The purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame is to:
- Recognize and honor the great athletes who have brought fame to Gardner Edgerton High School;
- Establish a motivating influence in the hearts of our youth; and,
- Foster pride and preserve good sportsmanship, scholarship, and citizenship in our school, city, and community.
Thoroughly read the Athletic Hall of Fame Regulations and Procedures. Nominations can only be made by or through a former or current coach, athletic director, or principal. This nomination form must be accompanied with a letter of recommendation from the person making the nomination. The athletic director will contact the nominee with the appropriate information about the selection process. Nominees will remain a candidate for ten years. This nomination form and letter of recommendation must be submitted to Scott Peavey, athletic director, prior to February 1, 2021.
Nominees will be mailed a questionnaire that must be returned by February 15, 2021 to be considered for 2021-2022 induction. Nominations that are late, incomplete, or lack the necessary qualifications will not be processed. The Selection Committee meets in March to select the winners that will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame next school year.
